Police responded Thursday morning to Jefferson Mall on reports of a shooting, but no one was shot, according to Louisville authorities.

The first reports of a shooting at the mall, 4801 Outer Loop, came in about 11 a.m., according to MetroSafe.

However, a MetroSafe dispatcher said officers eventually determined that no one had been shot at the mall.

“There was no shooting or shots fired at Jefferson Mall,” LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. “It appears some individuals got into a fight and may have displayed guns.”
