Three days after Crissy Burgstaler painted “Justice for George Floyd” on the window of her Tucson clothing shop, How Sweet It Was Vintage, someone smashed it with a hammer.

Burgstaler promptly boarded up the window and painted “Black lives matter” on her shop’s other window instead. Then, on Sunday evening, she learned a sticker had been pasted on her storefront, which read in large letters: “RACE TRAITORS.”
