Erik Bartlett, owner of Runaround Running & Fitness at 422 S. Main St., is opening a second shoe store in Joplin. Rather than tap into the heavy traffic on Range Line Road or 32nd Street, the new store will remain in the heart of Joplin.

In fact, when Bartlett’s Shoe Co. opens at 303 S. Main in late April or early May, only a short walk will separate the two stores. This was sought on purpose, Bartlett said.

2nd STREET USA, Inc., buys and sells second hand clothing and accessories. The first US store was opened in January 2018 on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California. Palmer Park Mall shop owners keep sanitizing, pray to avoid a 2nd COVID-19 shutdown

Dakoda Finken is living life on his terms.

He and his partner are their own bosses at the VR Café in the Palmer Park Mall.

They had carved out a niche for themselves with children’s birthday parties and tournaments that drew up to 150 gamers to play at their store on a Sunday.
