It’s New York Fashion Week, Live

Right now, New York Fashion Week is on. But the age of front rows and crowded shows is somewhat on hold; we can bring all of fashion week to you right here.

In 2001 part of the team behind the brand Imitation of Christ, Matt Damhave and Tara Subkoff, planned to ask those in the audience for money for charities that fight child labor and sweatshops.

Our team over at T Magazine spoke to a few designers, including Maria Cornejo, about the act of collaboration when making clothes and being among the first truly sustainability-minded designers — producing 85 percent of her line locally, seeking out recycled fabrics and repurposing unused scraps from previous collections.
