The pandemic has accelerated the shift towards a more digital world and triggered changes in online shopping behaviours that are likely to have lasting effects

The COVID-19 pandemic has forever changed online shopping behaviours, according to a survey of about 3,700 consumers in nine emerging and developed economies.

The survey, entitled “COVID-19 and E-commerce”, examined how the pandemic has changed the way consumers use e-commerce and digital solutions. It covered Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, South Africa, Switzerland and Turkey.

Police: 3 hurt in Florida mall shooting as shoppers scatter

MIAMI (AP) — A shooting at an upscale South Florida shopping mall that began as a fight between two groups of people left three persons injured Saturday afternoon and sent mall patrons fleeing, according to police and local reports.

Live aerial TV news footage showed mall patrons running from the Aventura Mall after reports of gunfire as law enforcement vehicles converged on the scene.

Aventura Police said two groups of people had begun fighting in the mall and then there was a shooting.

Man sentenced to 4 years in prison on charges related to 2020 shooting outside Americana mall in Manhasset

A reputed Queens gang member will serve a 4-year federal prison sentence after a shooting last summer outside Americana mall in Manhasset that didn’t cause any injuries but put the posh shopping center on lockdown for an hour on a Saturday afternoon.

U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert on Friday sentenced Yuri Oluh, 22, in a Central Islip courtroom following his November guilty plea to a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
